What is it? 

A Far Infrared Sauna (FIR) uses infrared light waves to create heat in the body which penetrates the tissues up to 4 inches deep causing you to sweat and release toxins. Different colors of light may be incorporated for additional healing benefits of body, mind and spirit. 

Color Therapy

RED:  Increase the pulse and rate of respiration, raise blood pressure. Support circulatory and nervous system functions.

PINK: Cleanses, strengthens veins and arteries. Activates and eliminates impurities in the blood stream.

ORANGE: Activates and eliminates localized fat. Assists with asthma and bronchitis.

YELLOW: Purify the skin, aid digestion, strengthen the nervous system, treat glandular disease, hepatitis, and lymphatic disorders, assist metabolism. 

GREEN: Harmony, provides a neutral, positive and calming effect. Anti-infectioius, anti-septic and regenerative stimulation.

More Information

We have a FIR from Sunlighten that established patients may choose to utilize as an addition to their wellness plan. 

A sauna session includes 20-60 minutes of relaxing in the sauna directly followed by a shower. Showering right away is necessary to rinse off the remaining toxins on the skin so they are not reabsorbed. Typically 1-4 sessions per week is suggested, depending on the condition being treated and your individual constitution.

It is very important to be well hydrated before and after a sauna treatment, and to have eaten a light snack prior.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring 3 regular sized towels, a hand towel, a light snack, a large water bottle, and wear a swimsuit.

BEFORE: Taking chlorella or spirulina beforehand will help absorb some of the toxins and reduce "detox side effects."

AFTER: We suggest drinking coconut water or electrolytes to replenish minerals.
